Why were the West Fork senior boys dressed in drag last Saturday night? The boys were participating in the “Miss West Fork GUY” contest on April 16 that raised nearly $1600 for Project Graduation. The event, which was held at the West Fork School Activity Center, was planned in order to get both the senior boys and girls involved in something together. There was a talent and evening gown portion. The senior girls did a dance to “It’s Raining Men.” and the boys danced to “Single Ladies.”
When asked how he prepared for this event, Tyler Good cheekily said, “Well, I made myself an appointment to go get my legs and eyebrows waxed. I also took estrogen pills to bring out my more feminine side. This was just an over-all great experience.”
The contestant with the most money in his jar was crowned the over-all winner. Damon Byrum a.k.a. Tina Fresh, won the contest with $250, and at the end of the pageant the seniors had raised $1, 598. There was a concession stand, an auction and admittance was free. Many people came out and supported these boys. Thank you to all who came and donated to help the seniors accomplish their goal in Project Graduation. Hopefully this will become an annual event.
