Garrett Ramsfield, New Eagle Scout

Garrett Michael Ramsfield, 17, of Winslow has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He is the son of James and Geraldine Ramsfield.

Garret is a member of Troop 44 sponsored by the Elm Springs United Methodist Church. He attends Greenland High School where he is a member of the Greenland High School Choir and recipient of the Kiwanis Youth Excellence Award.

His scouting experience includes earning Cub Scout Arrow of Light, World Conservation Award, and Junior Leadership training as well as earning 40 merit badges. He has been a Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Troop Guide. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow, Ordeal Arrowman.

For his Eagle Scout Project Garrett constructed reflective 911 Address Signs for all Washington County members of the Boson Mountain Fire Association. These signs will aid in locating residences in times of emergencies by making the residences easier to locate. Between 400 and 500 signs were constructed.
