MARCH On Friday, Jan. 20, “Occupy NWA” locally along with “Move to Amend” nationally will demonstrate to Occupy the Courts. Meet on the Square in Fayetteville at noon for a short march to the Fed. Bldg. at 35 E. Mountain St. Our action from 12 noon to 2p.m. will include speakers, musicians, and signs to express our demands: End corporate rule, legalize democracy, corporations are not people and money is not speech.
MEETING The Washington County Tea Party resumes its bimonthly Lunch and Learn series regarding America’s Christian Heritage 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. January 17 & 31, at Western Sizzlin’, 3942 West Sunset in Springdale. APPLY The City of Greenland is currently taking applications for two positions on the City’s Planning Commission. Applications may be picked up at City Hall from 8 a.m. – 12 noon and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. weekdays. Applications will be taken through Friday, Feb. 3, 2012.
CLASSES Northwest Arkansas Beekeeper’s Association is hosting a series of classes for beginning beekeepers on Jan. 30, Feb. 6 and Feb 13. They will be held at the Pauline Whitaker Equine Center on the U of A Campus from 6 to 9 p.m. Classes cost $5 per person or $10 per family (pay at the door).
