MILITARY OFFICERS MEET The Northwest Arkansas Military Officers Group, an affiliate of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) will hold its bi-monthly dinner meeting at the Fayetteville Clarion Inn on Friday, April 20, 2011 at 6:30 P.M. Our guest speaker is Mike Roberts from the University of Arkansas whose topic, “India, Business Perspectives” provides insight on his recent visit to India. James Maginot, owner of Beyond Organics, will talk about early season starters and give tips on planning your garden, seed selection, and early pest control to maximize vegetable production. Damon Meadors will be handling music — Brian fell and broke his back & is recovering from paralysis.
PLANT TREES, SAVE STREAMS Volunteers are needed for Spring Planting at the White River Streambank Stabilization Project, which will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, off Wyman Road in Fayetteville. Volunteers will plant native trees and shrubs to enhance the new project. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
