Barnard, Bidville, Blackburn, Bridges, Collier’s-Yoe, Freedom, Hart, Kelton, Mt. Gaylor, Reed-Pence, St. Stephens, Shayburg, Temple Hill, Terry, Vaught, & Woolsey.

I would like to gather the information on each of the cemeteries in the area to have on file in the Winslow Library.
It would be helpful to have the person to contact for each cemetery, Decoration Day dates, reunions, and celebrations, plot maps, if available, history of the cemetery such as when started and by who, any trivia and stories, lists of people buried in the cemetery and any other information that someone might have referencing the old cemeteries of this area.

BRING US YOU METAL  The West Fork Renewable Resource Center has a trailer for metal.  If you have metal items that you are getting rid of please bring them to us.  Selling metal is one of the few ways that we can make money to take care of the recycling center.  Please recycle your cardboard and other recyclables also.  Let’s keep as much out of the land-fills as possible.  Consider helping your neighbors haul off some of their “stuff” too if they are elderly or don’t have access to a pick-up truck or a trailer.  The city pays a bunch of money for these cleanups please take advantage of them.

BEYOND RECYCLE   As you get ready for Spring Cleanup you may come upon items that are too good to throw away.  Why don’t you join Freecycle?!  See the description below.  I have freecycled a Christmas tree, a nonworking lawnmower and a box of art supplies.  The recipients were as happy to get the stuff as I was happy to have it gone.  Remember there is really no “away” when you throw something away.  It always has to go somewhere!  Join here
