April 26, 2014 by wcobserver

The West Fork (pop. 2,402) City Council at their April meeting voted to spend $12,700 to repair the roof on the Library.

Last month Lincoln, Arkansas (Pop. 2,322) had the grand opening for their new library.

From NWA Online, 3/16/2014:

LINCOLN, AR– The new Lincoln Public Library opened on Sunday. Library Director, Dianna Payne said a couple years ago, voters approved a sales tax to fund the project. She said the building is much larger than the old library, and includes the latest technology. They hope to attract university instructors and clubs to use the new space.

Payne said, “With everything like the brand new computers and we have for free 24/7 so we’re expecting for lots of people to come and check us out and then become part of us.”

She said with the new library, they can serve the community and help anyone who walks through the library doors to be successful.
